Would it be possible to increase the number of new posts shown on a page?

We can choose to show up to 40 posts per page within a topic, but the New Posts search pane stops at 25. With the amount of traffic these days that causes a lot of paging!

Allowing more than 40 posts per page within a topic wouldn't be bad either, but isn't an issue for most topics.

You can do that in the User CP (control panel), edit options near the bottom. I set mine to 40 lol.
It helps.

I am so loving all the options we have here. You can reverse the direction of messages with the newest on top, add all kinds of smileys, EDIT my favorite and have signature lines. If you haven't already explored the User CP, you need to!

Thanks Sylvia, but that's not quite what I was looking for.

I think you're talking about the "Number of Posts to Show Per Page" setting, which controls the pagination within a topic. It doesn't affect the number of threads shown in a search page.

I'd like it so that when I search for "New Posts" I can get everything on one page. Right now, it limits the new posts to 25 per page.

isn't that right. I love all the things you can do hear also. the only thing, sorry Bob. but the scroller Galleries. I still have a time finding my way around it. you can change the way your gallery comes up. thum nails etc. but I still get lost when I try to find things. and click back a forth, seams to take forever. I shure could use some empho on this. your friend Evie

Sorry about that Arcy. I misunderstood. I can understand your woes. I can't get the 3 pages to disappear think it is a good thing. It would help but after the newness wears off it might settle a bit but I hope not, I like it robust. So maybe the powers that be will hear us.

You got me too, I read your answer and went right to the cp and changed it. but nothing changed! Well it did, just not where I was hoping it would.
With all the money we pay for this site we can not complain to loud.lol.
