I just joined this forum yesterday, I don't understand what is going on yet but I read all of this cut and paste info and for sure don't want to get on anyones bad side this early in the game. Floyd/fllane

This sticky has gone off track. The whole point of this was to hopefully get the members to show a little respect for others through etiquette of not copying and pasting comments into email so as to take things out of context. The point I made in my first reply about membership was only to bring to light the lack of members viewing the sticky. It had nothing to do with posting replies nor with accusing others of lurking. We all lurk at times because we don't have anything worth saying mostly because we are trying to learn or a particular thread may have been created for informational purposes. There's nothing wrong with just doing some reading. But there is something wrong with copying and pasting someone's comments into emails; hence, the proposed etiquette.

I don't think anyone here has problems with people reading only. I know, myself I don't care if people come and read.

The ones I can't stand and really despise are the spammers.

Sometimes the spam comes from machines that have been programmed by people that don't have a life and sometimes they come from someone's computer that has a virus.

Mia,
I can see what you were trying to say concerning the lack of views of the sticky but, by the way it was stated, it could and did raise some hackles.
At first read, it appears that the sticky was a joke, not the lack of reading by the members.
The last statement about the dignity, or lack thereof, of those 'lurking' and those not caring was unnecessary to make your point.
I find it is in everyone's best interest to objectively reread a post prior to pressing the Post Reply button.

What's interesting is, I'm a member of a photography forum which has over 34,000 members. I think this forum has more active members than theirs does. Actually, I'm a member of 4 photo forums and none of them has as much activity as this scrollsaw forum. This is why this is the only scrollsaw forum I need. WE ROCK!

OK.
I've remove all of the posts that didn't pertain to my original. It's a slippery slope and people insist on adding teflon to it.

I'm not censoring anyone; the parties involved in the original situation know who they are, and can deal with it in private if they so choose. I posted this because I wanted to prevent something like this from happening again. My message seems to have gotten through on that. Lets just let this go as a group.
