A good friend of mine is celebrating a milestone birthday this week. She loves horses so I thought this Rearing Horse Sun Catcher would make a great gift for her. The wood is canary wood and I used a leather lace to hang it. Several coats of spray lacquer finished the project.

You know, having a workshop that is not climate controlled in central Florida is usually not a problem. Today, however, it was so cold in the shop my saw wouldn't hold tension and the metal table was too cold to work on. I did manage to get some valentines cut out, but no way to finish them because my painting area is outside as well. They're talking about flurries tomorrow ... in Florida?
