Default Neal Moore's Eagle

I got a copy of Neal's book over a week ago and I finally dug into it and completed his Eagle project. I have never done segmentation work before but it was a breeze with the instructions and photos that were offered. Here are pics of two different eagle's I completed last night.

I played around with the grain on the second eagle a bit as I thought it gave the appearance of a young eagle with the speckles. Both were done on 3/4' pine.

My next project is Neal's horse pattern.

Once you are on the dark side you can never return, I used those new FD-NS 2/0... translation of course it was done with spirals, you've seen my flat blade work and it is rather sad.

Terrific job Todd! Even more so considering you managed to do it with spirals.

Very nice work, Todd. I can't seem to find the time to get in front of my saw what with the holidays and all. Seems like you are managing just great.

Thumbs up Eagle

I just now came across your post Todd. I'm super happy you like the book!!! I haven't been online much lately. Betty's youngest brother was diagnosed with leukemia just prior to the holidays and things have been sort of up in the air. His prognosis is still uncertain. All the brothers and sisters have been screened as possible stem cell donors and we're still waiting to learn who will be the best candidate for a donor. Please post a picture of the "mustang" when you get it done. I'll check in occasionally to see if you've put it up. BTW...great job on the eagle!!! That's the only piece I've seen anyone do from the book.....I was beginning to wonder if anyone bought it!!! LOL!!! Hope you're acclimating well to the "real world". Gotta be one heck of a temperature differential between Alaska and the "sandbox"!!!

Dang Neal, sorry to hear the bad news, have faith my friend...faith can be a power thing.

I appreciate your comments and I tell you your book opened up the world of segmentation for me. My only gripe if any is that I have to sneak it into work and enlarge the patterns there, when I get caught I will give them your name and claim I was recently addicted. lol

Glad to be home my friend but would go back in a seconds notice if the call came.
