Fran - That is some fishy story A very, very nice fishy.
That was the same pattern I used for my very first intarsia project that I gave to my Dad as a BD gift. It still hangs on the wall in his den. Your fish fits together a lot better than mine. I also like the selection of wood that used in the back-ground.

That is beautiful! Is the fish inset or is an overlay? The background looks great, the blending of the different woods is seamless.

Rolf, The fish is an overlay. I don't remember how the pattern had it, but I wanted the bass to really stand out.

Tango, I bet your dad loved it. I was thumbing through the book and when I saw the bass I just had to buy it.

WD, I am also glad to be back in the shop. No fun having to sit in the house day after day.

Jerry, This one is supposed to be sold. I took the order last year, but it's going to be hard to part with it.

Thanks again to everyone for the nice comments.

I love the combination of fretwork and intarsia. i would love to find more patterns with both techniques. I like the way the fish stands out. Nice work.

Hammer, I haven't decided yet. I will probably call the person that wanted it next week. They knew I was sick and not able to get into the shop much. If they don't want it now, it will go on my wall.
