Well thank you all for your praise. I actually did two of those one for my wife the other was a request from one of my patients. Harlan I got the hackberry on e-bay and bid for several pieces at a time. Now I am starting an eagle. Actually it is small so it is going to be a challenge. I am doing it out of walnut again not using WRC.

The spalted Hackberry made this piece! I absolutely love it. I think that piece of wood was waiting for someone to use it for this heron. Thanks so much for sharing your work with us.........as always it's outstanding!
