Default Giraffe

I thought that the giraffe puzzle might make a nice Intarsia piece . Mix the colours and see what comes out . Has this been tried before ?
Could be a next intarsia challenge . What do you think Janette and Lou .
Any thoughts .

Sounds like a tall order Roger - argghhhh!

Just need to get the lighthouse out of the way first but I'd be interested as a friend of my wife's collects giraffes (inanimate ones - LOL!) and she's ask if i could make her one

If anyone can do it I know you can . Get those little grey cells going . Of course not till you finish the light house and wagon wheels .
'Cheers .

I am not sure what you mean as an intarsia , but you could stack cut them using a couple different woods and mix the parts up so you have different species of wood for them. That would look especially nice for the baby giraffe, as he sort of nests inside of the other giraffe.

I can't quite visualize an intarsia puzzle, but a segmentation one would certainly be possible. Hey, if you have a design in mind, go for it! I'm sure everyone would love to see it and would cheer you on while you're at it. This group is pretty darned good at that.

What about doing the giraffe puzzle on the front of this month's magazine but each piece is a different type/color of wood. Fun for a kid anyway.
