This is a Kathy Wise pattern. I used walnut, popular, oak, and what ever that orange wood is. I got that orange wood in a box of hardwood from my DD. If anyone knows what it is I would sure like to know. ![]() Mike |

Well, Mike, I think Orange wood is from Orange trees! Just a guess, I'm from Florida! We do cut them down occasionally - - - Beautiful job on the penguins Martha |

Hi Mike Nice looking piece, Good job. I can't really tell from the pic but the orange wood may be Pernambuco.

Picture is a little small to see the detail, but looks good from what I can see. Maybe osage orange? but it tends to be more yellow than orange until it starts to age. . .

From what I can see, it looks great, but the picture sure doesnt do it justice I know that! Paela is a nice orangish wood also. Osage orange, as been mentioned is usually a very nice yellow, but will turn into a dull brown over time.

Sorry about the poor picture, not one of my stronger points. Of course a poor picture can sure had a lot of bo-bo's, ha ha. I do need to figure out how to get a better picture. Thanks for all the comments and taking the time to look. Mike |
