Default Another Kitty finished

This one was made from a modified quilting pattern (hint...another good source for patterns!). The first one I did years ago didn't do it for me, so I recently did some more adjustments to fine tune the pattern to make it more Intarsia friendly. It's not a pattern I can sell since the original quilt pattern is copyright but it is something you can purchase yourself.

This guys is primarily myrtlewood and the pillow is bird's eye pine from a board I discovered while searching for that elusive blue stuff!

Absolutely beautiful Janette!!
I would love to be able to peruse your wood pile with all of the different woods that you use.

Even though I do Intarsia myself, I am still amazed at your inate ability in design, wood selection, and shaping of all your animal pieces. They truely come to life under your hands!

As a dog person I am allways amazed with your cats. Just think how much better it would be if you did dogs!
Thanks for sharing, your choice of wood and grain sure move you to the head of the class. Can't wait to see what you do next.

I do dogs!!! Just one ones to sell unless they're ordered or commissioned. I can sell cats but have a tough time selling dogs...people want THEIR dog!

Believe it or not, all the myrtlewood I used in this one was from scraps another woodworker was going to burn. He makes lazy susans and saved me all the end cut offs after he cut out the circles. Wood doesn't have to be expensive! I love the finish on myrtlewood even if it is a bugger to cut.
