Default Finished this table today

Hi everyone,

Just finished this coffee table today. I had been working on it for the past three weekends. The table is all solid oak with walnut doweling and the scenery inside is made up of maple and cherry. Mostly 1/4", but some 1/8" too.

It has 1/4" safety glass that sits on the aspen trim and the trim is cut so that the glass is flush with the table top. It's quite large and heavy too - 46 X 26 and proudly sitting in our living room now.

It's the first of this type I've done. I've made furniture and scroll projects, but this is the first that I've combined them. It was from a pattern though, not my design

Hey Ocelot,

All I can say is, "OUTSTANDING"
Are you going to post a guard on each end of the table, or did you rope the room off yet?
Beautiful job.

Tom

Now that is a sweeeeet looking table Ocelot. You can pat yourself on the back for sure. Great pattern. Do you have the designers name? Looking forward to more pictures of your next project.

G'day Ocelot,
If I told you what I think You'd just be hearing an echo of the previous posts.

I'm Gonna anyway.

That is a magnificent piece of furniture and is sure to become a family heirloom.

WOW! I would love to have that table in my home. What a great piece of work. You should be very proud. The scroll cutting is wonderful and the table itself with the pegs is outstanding!

*laughs*

Actually, I didn't really think of that until it was done and sitting in the living room. Now I'm wondering if using it is a good idea. Thanks for the kind words.
