Default layered beach scape

I have spent the last week working on this 5 layer beach scape. I cut two of them, one for friends who have a cottage in Cape May NJ and the other for our daughter and son-in-laws anniversary in Sept. Their downstairs family room is beach themed.
The original is by Sue Mey who is from Pretoria. It was in the CWWC August 2008 issue. It is cut from 1/8 birch ply, given two thin coats of diluted varnish to seal the wood and painted with acrylic craft paint. It is then glued up and sprayed with two seal coats of varnish. The only changes I made to her design were to paint the background board for the sky blue instead of the black that she used and to make a frame from some scrap 1 1/2" oak and give it a wash of diluted white acrylic paint. She had suggested just hanging it. Thanks in advance for any comments and criticisms that you may have.

Nice job, it looks very Cape Codish, I'm going to have to try one of these.
