Yep Pete, the Wolf Maiden was designed specifically for this piece. I still have 2 more of them and I have one of the patterns already in mind, I just need to get it done.

Thanks for the kind words folks but honestly it's not that big a deal. I just thought it would be funny if I of all people got a ribbon in Intarsia. I believe Shannon and Dave will testify to that one, hehehehehe.

Hey now, it is not always the millions of years practice with intarsia that gets you there. I did tons of fretwork and started intarsia a year and a half or so ago. I entered my 3rd piece in the New Mexico state fair and took first in the category.

So, it is skill cutting, finishing and the care put into doing the job I'd say.

I also got a laugh out of my ribbon, but will enter again this year lol
