I live in northern Kentucky, so the closest NFL team I have is Cincinnati Bungles. I support them even though there own players (Chad) do not. The smaller round one I did for a trade for a hardwood floor stapler, about 5 hundred dollar trade. I made it in about 20 hours. Since then the lucky guy has got Shane Grahm, Chad Johnson, and Carson Palmer to sign it. Gave me the idea to get the larger one autographed by the whole team and auction it for charity. How do I go about doing that? What is a good way to seal in the signatures?

I would apply one coat of finish to the wood before it is signed to prevent the ink from bleeding then apply 2 or 3 more coats over the signatures.

You might want to try different things as it will depend on the type of pen used. A felt tip marker will desolve under certain varnishes and run you dont want that.....not after all the hard work you have put into it so far.... maybe a plexi-glass case would be an option....

Look great.I would suggest you danish oil it, then spray it with one coat of deft clear wood finish from an aerosol can. Then using a fine point sharpie marker, get your autographs, before spraying on three more coats of the same, sanding lightly between, of course. Dale

And you'll need to write the ball club with pictures of what you've made and what you will do with it once it is signed. Sounds like something they'd be interested in doing.
