Default A New Day Challenge

I've finished my challenge and sent it to Toni and Sue. Here it is for anyone else interested:

Cut from pine. Leather dyes and a little stain used for coloring.

that looks super, i started mine but the plywood i recently bought is aweful, keeps splitting.
Love the colour of the dyes, i really must try some of those. Is it the leather dyes you can use for shoes, or what sort is it.

ps. did you cut it from one thin piece of pine, or several different pieces.

Hey, that is lovely. I haven't got my head around the design yet, still messing colouring in the pattern and trying to work something out. The leather dyes look beautiful, I have ordered some and am awaiting for them to arrive. (I'm quite messy though and have visions of having to work with gloves on - or perhaps it would be best to remember to put the gloves on prior to using the dye!!!)

Sue Me too. I don't worry about useing gloves, they get holes in them. and you know what I have found, is, they wash off pretty nice.also, changing colors is a bother. just a note though. when you get your leather dyes. make sure the caps are on tight, when done. or they will disapear. your friend Evie

Thanks for the comments everyone!
Steve - I used one piece of 3/4" pine for the design (and another 1/2" for the black board behind it) I got the leather dyes from Tandy Leather and from a craft store near me.
Sue - I ran out of rubber gloves, so did this bare handed. I did find that rubbing alcohol will take the dye off your hands!
Evie - you can do it! you do too have the talent.
