Last month I posted a intarsia picture frame made in walnut, bloodwood, and yellowheart. You can see the post here: Fall Leaf Frame. I just finished another frame. This one is walnut and yellowheart but I used some purpleheart as the third wood this time. The ph is very hard, took longer to cut and took a while to shape. I think the ph turned out great. Let me know if you like the bloodwood or purpleheart better. Thanks. The pattern is from Kathy Wise, Scroll Saw WorkShop magazine, Fall 2005. |

PC guy, sure is a pretty frame. Me? I think I like the first one with bloodwood better. It seems brighter like fall leaves would be. Fran |

It's beautiful. I can see uses for each of them - depending on the decor of the room. Nice job.

Thats a tough question you asked. I love em both! But since its a fall leaf frame, I guess I will side with the bloodwood one, but just barely.

PCGUY, I can't decide which one I like. They are both beautiful. I'll take one of each and put them on my desk and ask all my family and friends and let you know what they say. ![]() Jackie |

I too love them both, but I think the blood wood looks a little more "natural" if that makes since. Jerry
