Default New one of Bruce's

I just finished Bruce's Heron. It will be in the April (I believe) issue of CWC. Challenging, but not too bad. Woods used are blue pine, hackberry, juniper, peruvian walnut, yellowheart and sycamore for the heron. Water is spalted maple, log is tan oak, myrtlewood and zircote, grass is aspen.

Wow Janette! - Bruce and yourself have really come up with the goods this time. Love it! - definitely my favourite of all I've seen of your work. Your wood and grain choice is outstanding and this subject really looks like it could leap out of the screen and jab you in the eye with that beak. Superlatives aren't good enough........

Janette and Bruce,
That is fabulous, as usual. I have never seen a heron done with such detail. All I can say is WOW, but that is not enough

Janette, you all who do intarsia just continue to amaze me. You and Bruce, in my opinion, are to intarsia what Jeff Zaffino is to fretwork (and I do mean "fret" work!).
Anyway, great job on the project, and congratulations to Bruce for a beautiful pattern. You both are super!
And yes, I know I am putting you in some mighty impressive company, especially knowing that there are great artists in this field that I did not mention, but I stand by what I said.
