Default My version Jim-Mex Bear

Hi all, I was just playing around the other day in the shop - wanting to make my grandson another bear for his room and this is what I ended up with. Still needs more Bartley's gel, the backer finished and gloss on the eyes but I can honestly say I had so much fun making him. Sorry for the terrible picture but not much of a photographer!
Thanks a bunch Jim!
Anne

Wow Anne! - I'd almost forgotten this one! This bear was my third or forth scrolled piece after starting scrolling a year ago and at the time I was real pleased with the result - and still am. It also got me started on pattern and tutorial making which I think you already know I enjoy doing. He was definitely a big learning exercise for me which I got a lot of fun out of and a lot of help with and which got me hooked on segmentation and intarsia work

You certainly did the pattern justice. He looks great and the extra padding effect you've given to the ears and nose really improves the look. I'm sure he's going to look fantastic in your grandson's room.

Thanks for the pleasant reminder and credit

PS - just realised you gave him the tail I forgot !

Very nice piece, Anne! Your grandson is going to love it. It's always a pleasure to see a design I haven't seen before, and I gather this is a "Jim-Mex original." Good job to you too, Jim!

Man!...I have got to learn to do this. I'm missing out on so many great projects.
This turned out great!
