Goldfinch First Place - Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts Message Board

Well, I guess this is bragging, but it has never happened to me before. I entered the Goldfinch in the local county fair. Now, the fair is small and not a lot of competition, but the Goldfinch took Blue Ribbon first place in Woodworking. The fair does not have a 'Best of Show'. In talking to the exhibit organizers, the judges felt that if they did, the Goldfinch would have won 'Best of Show'. Thanks Lou for such a great pattern. And thanks to all who provided help and inspiration in the Goldfinch WIP thread.

Hi Mike,

Thanks. This was my fourth intarsia project. I have done several more since, including the Winter Bear. Each time getting a little better. The Goldfinch is still my favorite.

Thanks. I am about 75 miles away. I don't have my work schedule for that week, but I should have one of the days off. I would love to spend some time together.

Thanks for the encouragement. Lots of newbies on the site with great projects. Maybe we can see more entries in fairs next year.
