Default 2 more finished

This is the 2nd Sailing Home I did. I made this one a little larger than the first. Woods are blue pine, spalted maple and aspen for the water. Boat is walnut, cherry and mahogany. Sail is yellowheart, poplar, madrone and red cedar. Sky is aspen, blue pine and hackberry. lighthouse is maple, blue pine, red cedar and myrtlewood for the island.

Janette
Absolutely great work. I love the Rose. The choices of wood colors is fantastic even though as you know I am WRC person. With colors like that could make me reconsider.

My opinion may not mean much since I never do intarsia, but I do have an eye for beauty and right now I am looking at it. These are absolutely gorgeous. Those of you who do intarsia never cease to amaze me.
Very, very nice, Janette. Thanks so much for sharing the pictures.

Thanks everyone!

The dragonfly and cattails are not slated for a magazine. It's a simpler one Bruce designed (and there aren't many of those )

He'll have the pattern available for sale on his website.

You certainly have been busy. Love the sail boat, I want to do that one someday after I finish the challenge lighthouse, only smaller for me.
Cattails looks great even sideways, and that rose.......OMG WOW.

Janette, those three projects are splendid! The rose is delightful! I do like the way you used wood grain for the leaves. The roses themselves are...gee, I can't find a proper word!? sensational!
Great wood choice too on the dragonfly wings. The effect is great.
Congratulations for your work! You are a great model for all of us!
