Hi Jim, your spider came out really nice--I love the facial expression and those socks are priceless. Good job on the paint also.

Jim those spiders really tickle my fancy, they must spin some colorful webs.

My simple philosophy. I am too stupid to know that I can't do it so therefore I can.
Having the wizards point the way sure makes it a lot easier. That is why I joined a scrolling and turning club, and the people on this forum took a major chunk out of my learning curve.

Jim, I love your childlike patterns, and fun playfullness. but your finishes, are really something hard worked for. it just goes to show you. that you can make something that is fun, and well thought out, and playfull, and still well done. love your finish, and ideas. your friend Evie

Thanks guys and gals - your kind comments are much appreciated and inspirational and certainly fire me up to go for something a little more challenging for the next project. I just hope the grey matter keeps thinking of colourful and amusing projects.

Stay tuned - LOL!

Rolf...I love your attitude

One of the main reasons I try to help people as much as I can is because there was no one I could turn to when I first started. I didn't know this forum existed or the MSN intarsia site. I taught myself from scratch (with help from JGR's book). When I met Charlie and Sharon Norris at a show, they were very encouraging to me. Charlie offered pointers, freely shared his methods and became a good friend.

Anyhow, Charlie passed away a couple years ago and I wanted to carry on as he did - helping people when I could. I think people need all the encouragement they can get.

Janette. I couldn't agree more, I too had to learn buy myself. didn't have a forum to go to. and in my area, there wasant any books eather. all I knew that I seen a fret project, and wonted to do it. did't know what saw, or other tools to use in doing it. I finaly found a book buy spielmon, and off I went. I can't tell the new commers more than to find a good book, or a magazine like this one. to help you on your way. I wish I knew about this magazine, and forum, to help me on my way. and after many mistakes, I did finaly find both. and never sorry. it lead me to more suplys, and tools than I could have ever emagind. they didn't teach spelling however. hehe. but welcomed me with full arms. never putting me down, kidding alittle but with love. and understanding. I just can't tell you how much this has done for me in my real life. the friends I have made, and the lesons I have learned, are just to many to mention. I don't do well in real public, but I have been hear for over 6 years now. and never wished to lieve. I got peed sometimes, but never left for long. this is my family. and friends. couldnt ask for more. only to meet them some day some where, some how. your friend Evie

Evie that is just so well said, it wraps up this site prity well. My spelling ain't on the top of the pile either, but I bet we both are better than most kids in high school today.
