Default Koala Intarsia Pattern

I have a very special request from a family member for a Koala bear done in Intarsia. Any pattern source suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks John,
I did get a pattern, but I am not sure I like it, I like some of the ones you sent me.
One of my concerns is the color of the wood I will use.
I believe the little buggers are gray and I only have a few bits of the blue pine left,
so I will have to track some more of that down.

Here's the one of Bruce's that I did awhile back. I used the solid gray blue pine (wish I could find some more of that). He was fun and quite easy to make.

Rolf,
to obtain the gray, you can also "ebonize" a nice piece of maple with the vinegar solution if you wish...
Best of luck with your project!

I suggest you "make it outback tonight", and bring a pencil and some paper with you.

Grey..how about taking some oak and soaking it for a few weeks in a bucket of rusty water. Iron turns red oak grey all the way through. I bought some salvaged oak from the colorado river some time back and it was as grey as grey can be. I guarantee it works, but can't say if it'll take 2 days or 20 yrs!
