| Looks great Janette. I see he has no whiskers though. You ever consider making some? This isn't a negative comment by any means either, but if you watch the wood carvers closely, you'll see they use a lot of copper wires. Just regular 12-18 guage electrical wire is fine depending how big the whiskers would be in relation to the size of the picture. Just drill holes to fit, paint the wire black and CA it in the holes. The wire bends to whatever you desire...something to consider in the future if anything else. Since you are going with realism in the eyes, I figure realism in the whiskers would be good too, and with copper you don't have to deal with fitting more wood pieces.

| I have tried the wire trick a few times, but it usually draws the attention to the wire because it is not the same material. I like the "just wood" look of what this kitty is. Just my 1 cent worth.

| Janette,
Thank you so much again for sharing your WIP. It is truly a gift you have. Very nice work. What a talented person you are. I can't believe how fortunate I am to see your exquisite creations. Thanks again. You have created another great piece of art.

| I just went to look at Janette's web site, and it really is worth a look to see what can be done. I like the projects that I do but Janette sure shows how far I still have to go, beautifull work and design. Go look folks, some of her stuff is in our magazine but she has lots more to show. I can see why she makes a living doing this.

| Thanks guys !!
Customer received package but is giving it to her hubby for their anniversary next month (she couldn't wait till Christmas) so she decided not to open it at all until she gives it to him...No way I'd be able to do that!! It will be a surprise for both! The custom ones are definitely more work-but very rewarding. |
