Default A new design, and a couple pics

Hi everyone.

I just finished up a bunch of pieces for my upcoming show 4th of July weekend. One of them is a design by our own Chris (Copperfish) that was a great pattern. Woods are: rustic cherry, alder, soft maple for the salmon; poplar (grass); spalted cherry, english walnut, myrtlewood and jatoba - rocks

This one is my newest design. It's based on an acrylic painting I got at the last art show I did. The painter was kind enough to give me permission to make an intarsia pattern from it. Chickadees are so popular and everyone loves them. They're always great sellers and I'm sure this one will be no exception. Woods are: Chickadee: blue pine, brown maple, aspen and peruvian walnut, leaves- poplar, branch- redwood.

Thanks for sharing

Janette, those really are nice. Both patterns are great but I must confess I am more into fish. But I like them both. You did a great job.

We don't have chickadees in UK, but I do like your pattern and your cutting, Janette, thanks for showing it.

No Chickadees !!!??? That's a shame-they're such cute little guys.

Thanks everyone for the comments and encouragement!

We used to have lots of chickadees . This year I haven't noticed any . Lots of sparrows ,finches , hummingbirds and a steller jay who hasn't figured out his family went north . Your patterns are ever so nice . I think I'll go fall on my sword .
Cheers .Roger
