Default Check Out This Guy-Marquetry or Intarsia

Not sure this belongs on this board but couldn't figure out any other place to put it.
Check out this guy's site. Picked this up from another scrolling forum. The said he was featured in the other scrolling mag. I don't subscribe to it but maybe some of you who do can verify that.

Any way this guy does some very amazing stuff.

Yep, that's marquetry. He is really really good, but I've definitely seen better. Of course, I guess part of "better" is opinionated as well. You have to get to the Louvre and then you understand how this doesn't "blow" me away. Still..this guy is a master in my book too, so thanx for showing. Marquetry always inspires me to do better.

Hey fellas,

This guy was featured in an article in the 'other' magazine....showed more of his art, and gave a great bio on him as well.

I think it's a combination of marquetry and other styles - "unconventional" as they say, using whatever he needs for the effect he wants to achieve. Absolutely beautiful work!

Amazing stuff!

I couldn't do this - only because I have no wall large enough, you understand ... and insufficient patience, time etc
