Default Intarsia ornament

This is a Kathy Wise design that is part of a series.
It was a lot of fun to make. I am fortunate to have cobwebs in my shop because they catch the tiny pieces when they fly out of my hands.
I went against my norm and sprayed a gloss finish on it. (not happy with that)
Next time I will go back to my Bartleys Gell varnish. The hair is Yellow heart, wings maple the rest is cedar.

Nice Job!

I've completed 5 of them - one for myself, one I gave to my Mom for her birthday, then she ordered some to give to her sisters! I've had to redo a number of pieces after they flew across the room - many cobwebs, but none of them caught LOL
Oh - I'm planning on making the whole set - how about you?

It looks great, nice to see you are early for Christmas just as I was with the Nativity I made.

Small pieces are fun, my favorite part is the search

Great job Rolf! She looks really good! I can relate to the small pieces flying, unfortunately my cobwebs never catch any either

Very nice work. That only a few inches tall, to be talking about tiny pieces flying?

Looks great Rolf. Doesn't look to glossy to me. You do know that if it's too glossy, you can re-spray it with a lower gloss finish.

There's something wrong with Christmas ornaments this early in the year

Very nice job there though, Rolf.
