Default Wood Properties

Every once in awhile I see a post asking about the workability of certain wood species. I'm new to woodworking and would like the same answers. I found a site that has just that kind of info. Interested in the properties of Hickory? You'll find it at this site.

Got it too. Looks like a good reference. Missing Bubinga, though, I noticed.

Thats a good one. Remember, www.google.com is your friend! Type the name of the wood and lumber, hit enter and BAM... For example, Bubinga lumber gets you to:

http://www.hearnehardwoods.com/Inventory/Bubinga.html

Check out the 10/4 50" wide 20 foot long board!!!! or

or

http://www.exotic-wood.com/bubinga.htm

Tons of good stuff.
