| not sure if this is what you may be looking for but there are 2 nautical patterns for frames on http://www.finescrollsaw.com/freepatterns.htm
on a side note I have not been on here too much lately and I have to say that I do miss coming by and reading the posts, life got a little busy for me and I know I have missed out on some interesting conversations and a lot of helpful information. I am now able to get some time to check in here more often and I intend to do so.

| Wayne,
great site but too elaborate.
The friend I have go on a lot of Cruises they are not boaters or fishing type people So I want to keep it simple.
I will follow your suggestion Carl and maybe make a simple frame with a cruise ship image scrolled into it.

| I built a round one by accident. It looks kind of like a ship steering wheel. simple and fast to make. Glue up a blank square, draw two circles, however wide it is your making the frame. Divide out the circle with a ruler and a square so it looks like a pizza. My frame is 2" wide. put an x where each line meets the outside of the circle. Use a 1 1/2 forestner bit on the drill press and drill out each x. Then cut out the inside and outside circle.

| Here's a nice little frame but you'll have to convert it to a pattern. |
