when squaring up a saw, do not use a metal square. Most blades have a more teeth or all the teeth off to one side of the blade, which causes the cut to want to lean on way or the other, although just fractionally. Take a scrap of 3/4 wood and make a straight cut into it about 1/4 deep. Now flip the wood over and make another cut the same, about an 1/8 to the right or left of your first cut. Use a ruler and measure the distance between the cut top and bottom both to see if they are the same distance apart. if they are, you are square. if not, than you need a micro table adjustment.

Thanks for the tip. I have noticed that my saw will get off.. well in 3/4 wood it will be off some.
