Default orbital sander holder

here are pictures of a holder I made from a tip I found in my woodsmith tip of the week. It aleviates holding your sander while it stops spinning after you shut it off.

Now that's a neat idea. Here's another one. Put a piece of carpet padding on your work bench before sanding. It will hold the wood in place, prevents scratch marks from forming on the opposite side of the piece, and usually lets you sand pieces without holding on to the edges. I do it all the time. It does collect dust though and use it with the smooth side down.
