Default How I get my stuff to market

G'day all,
I never had a clue where to post this thread so here it is.

I used to hate going to the Monthly Markets because the hassle involved in loading the ute at home, unloading at the Markets, Re-loading and then unloading again at home.

A while ago I came across this trailer for sale at the local PCYC and gave $400 dollars for it.

The clincher was Myself and my best mate actually built it, when I was in the Police Force. Dally unfortunately, died a few years ago, so I was absolutely over the moon to be able to take it home.

Anyhow, I now have a place to store stock, and it's just a matter of hitching it up behind the ute on Market mornings, and unhitching it when we get home.
Makes things a lot more pleasant all round.

G'day Mike,
It sure did feel good. The wife was pretty sure I'd blown the cash for sentimental reasons, but now she reckons it's one of the best buys I've made.

It was hard going into the PCYC to give them the cash, bought back a lot of old crap that I thought was buried pretty deep, but I'm glad I did.

We built the trailer in about 1990, to hook behind the Club bus so the Kids luggage would fit when we went on trips and camps.

Dally was the welder, I was the Holder and drinks boy and general dogs body. Although I must admit, Got pretty good with an angle grinder

Congratulations, for each of the reasons, on putting this in your backyard.

For a number of years I searched for a Hoosier cabinet like Mom had. (old fashioned kitchen cabinet.) One day I found one and asked to buy it. Long story - short - it turned out to be HERS!

So, I can share, a bit, in emotional side of your purchase.

G'day Lee,
Coincidence is a funny thing
I was just driving past the club one day and they had three trailers out the front with a for sale sign on them, make an offer. The other two were tandems.

Not trying to out do you, but Many many years ago when the missus and I were getting engaged, we introduced her Mum to my Parents.
Anyhow during the night it came out, that my Wife's' Parents and mine had rented the same house in Kalgoorlie, about 10 years apart, just after they'd been married. some times the world is extremely small.
BTW, at the time we were living in Perth, 600 kms away from Kal.

Hi John - You can't beat the trailer for storage and hauling. It looks like it's worth every bit of the $400 you paid for it. It's also nice to have a memento of your friend. Another thing you know about is how well the trailer is built. No guess work there!
