Default Was just wondering

I have not been scrolling for long but was wondering who else adhere the pattern like I do.

I always cover the piece first with Blue painters tape then apply Avery removable glue sticks to the pattern and attach on to the piece, that is all. When the project is done it is so easy to just remove the whole tape. It comes off very very easy. Never had the pattern lift up from the project.

Just thought I would post this if anyone wants to give it a try. I'm sure im not the only one doing it this way.

I've been doing the same thing recently. No more bonding directly to the wood - Just makes it difficult to remove the pattern when done cutting, and then you have to remove the glue residue. The painter's tape also serves for blade lubrication to avoid burning. Why put clear packing tape over the pattern for that purpose, when you can put painter's tape under the pattern to serve multiple purposes?

I too swear by the blue painters tape, a friend turned me onto it many years ago. I spray glue the patterns, didn't have much success with the glue sticks although I don't remember which brand I used. Maybe I'll give the Avery brand a try.

I ,too, use blue tape, with cheapo spray craft adhesive from Walmart. Saves time and work(there's that 4 letter word again)

I have been using green painter tape and Duro spray adhesive and then covering the whole thing in clar tape, but maybe all that duplication is unnecessary, but I have had patterns lift if the glue was not even without the extra layer of packing tape.

I use blue painters tape and either glue sticks or the spray on the pattern. Have not used the clear tape on top for a while.

I too use the blue tape and spray adhesive. The clear tape seemed to build up static electricity and the dust stuck to it obscuring the cut line. If the pattern starts to come up I just use Scotch tape on that section to hold the pattern down. Pat

A friend just told me about this painters tape thing. WOW!!! What a difference. Put that on pattern then spray that works wonders. Wish I had learned before all the work that I had broken trying to get patterns off. Oh well never too late to learn a new trick.LOL Cats

I used spray adhesive on the blue painters tape for a while, but got tired of the overspray mess. Been using glue sticks ever since. My advise, though, is to get the thick glue sticks.
