If you plan on using Mineral spirits, and dousing a rag to wipe down a just sanded piece of wood. As so many of us do. If you are wearing a ring (wedding in my case). You might want to remember to remove your ring first or at the very least, wash your hands soon after your task is completed and dry them thoroughly. Failure to do so may allow the MS to become trapped inside your ring, and after about 1/2 hour it may lead to a chemical burn which actually blisters. Don't ask me how I came up with the tip of washing your hands, or remembering in the future to remove my ring prior to the dousing. Perhaps she won't notice that I haven't been wearing my wedding ring for a few days. We all have a right to heal don't we?

When she finds you without your wedding ring, you will need a hat to hide the frying pan bump........ ![]() Don't let her watch you scroll, it will be very noticeable.

Mike: That reminds me of a little thing that happened to me about 6 or 7 months after me and my wife wer married I was working at a job where I was mixing chemials all the time and had to remove my ring when doing it well one day my wife handed me my ring and asked if I wanted this back I looked at it and then at her and asked where she got it apparently 3 nights earlier while we were sleeping I woke her up and told her to hold this and handed her my ring {I talk in my sleep} The big problem came when after 3 days I hadn't missed the ring [O] but one thing she always said was she never had to worry about me cheating on her because I would tell her all about in my sleep Erssel |

G'day Mike Good Tip, I wore my wedding ring after the ceremony and on our honeymoon, then took it of, put it in a box and haven't worn it since. When you work with your hands, rings can be dangerous things.

| OUCH! I only wear my ring when I go out. Rings and machine tools don't get along real well. That is a good tip for those who wear their ring 24/7. I didn't know that the mineral spirits were such an offender. I guess anything that dries out the skin is a potential danger. I wonder if your radiation therapy might have added a little heat to the fire? That's a good tip regardless.

Ouch Mike, are you left handed? I only put the ms on with my right hand. and I don't use a rag but a beveled spoundg. it only obsorbs just enough MS to dab on the pattern. to release it. more if needed. you don't have to soke the whole wood. just the pattern. them some more after it lefts off. and then a dry rag, like a tea shirt to wipe the glue off. then I take a hair dryer. to dry the wood. so I can keep working on it. and then just a light sanding with a 320 grit sanding palm sander. also. HEHE> I don't were my wedding ring. for the same reason. Jerry says. gees, hope this helps some. your friend Evie

Oh Evie, I'm usually a lot more careful with solvents of all kinds. This particular time I had a glueup mistake (yes I put glue on the wrong surface) and was in a hurry and just doused the T-shirt and began wiping frantically. I actually thought I grabbed the bottled water I had on the counter.... as water would have done the trick. The next thing I did after I got my mistake taken care of was to write with a sharpie on the outside of the (bottled water used to store MS in) container with the MS in it that it is indeed MS inside. I really don't need to be taking a drink of MS any time soon. I know don't preach... but during the recent move somehow.. somewhere.. my other container for Ms was misplaced it was clearly marked.
