Default I'm Still Here....california, That Is...

Well, one thing for sure, I seem to be the only one around the San Francisco area (I live 45 minutes north of the city) who does scroll sawing. And, I really would like to see how you all use your machine scroll saws (remember, I'm the one with the hand-held frame saw).

At any rate, I have a whole lot of subjects which I would like to address and get responses from you all. My e-mail address is: JROSE@BART.GOV

In particular, the "other" guy who also uses a hand-held saw, get back to me if you would. I'm kind of interested in knowing what you use for the top attachament of your frame saw. On mine, for instances, I have a knob which is attached to a 1/4" bolt. On the other side is the wing nut, and since it is positioned inside the frame housing, it cannot move. Therefore, attaching the top of the blade is simple with only a quick twist of the knob. Once the cut is made, again, a simple twist the top portion of the blade is free. Pretty cool huh, and pretty fast.

The saw I use I purchased from Wildwood Designs and can be seen in their catalog in the Tools section. It's the 12" tubular fretsaw frame. I'm now on my "second" saw. I actually wore out my first saw, the metal fatigued at the bend and no longer gave tension.

regards.....the guy from Cordelia
