| Test Tube Blade Holders Everyone seems to have these except me. Is there a good source for these? Please tell me where, who, how much, preferred sizes, if any. Thanks.

| I don't know how to do a link back to an old post.
But a new member found these baby soda bottles. They are the toughest and best solution that I ave used to date. All the thin plastic tubes end up splitting on me with use. These thigs are cheap and bullet proof.
The link worked Just wish I knew how I did it. Blade storage - first post

| Knothead, do you know how much it would cost me to collect those things via the cigar route? This country doesn't have a 5 cent cigar you know ; )
Rolf, I saw those awhile back but weren't sure if they would fit into the holders in the Excalibur sides. I'll have to wait till my saw arrives to see if the holes are 1" or better. I don't know how to link back to another post either although there is a "linkback" option just above the first post on each page. You might want to check that.

| Ajay they probably will not fit into the holes as they are about 1-1/8 in diameter. I would be surprised if the holes are that big. Try Sloans they have nice tubes.

| Just an FYI, I sent a note to the Hawk Product development folks and let them know how much I like my side table but it would be nice if there were additional blade holders. I would go for about 10 personally. They said they would take that under consideration. That may mean, thanks but no thanks but you never know. |

| I keep mine in a little basket at the moment, (all muddled up) and have done for 10+ years. However, I am currently collecting the tubes from denture cleaning tablets (not mine - all my tussies are my own!), with the idea of using them, if ever I get round to it.
I had never thought of cigar boxes, will speak to Daddy. He is a cigar smoker.
Cheers

| I cut 3/8 inch PVC into a proper length and inserted them into a carousel that I made (a 2x4 would work just as well). Drilll 1/2 holes to fit them in. Label each one for the blades they will hold. |

| Thanks all. I think I'll try Sloan's. They have exactly what I want.

| Ajay, I have the cygar tubes for my blades too. have a big supply. but when I started cutting, i used pvc pipe. with caps. drilled some holes in a piece of wood. to set them in. but I have to tell you. I have sooooo many blades now. I keep them in there own packs. in a drawer. I still use the tubes, but as a fast grab not for storing permanly. when you are working on one project. you might have 2 or 3 blades that you might switch out. I keep a seperate clamp for each size. also in a drawer. little drawer. you can also use a magnet. on the side of your saw. or where ever. there is just many ways you can store your blades. hope this helps your friend Evie |
