I've seen them in the Lee Valley catalogs. I don't have them but I'm sure they'd work.

I use the tubes from Sloan's Woodshop and they do just fine. I use a paper label maker to label each tube.

My granddaughter loves to work with seed beads and guess what.... when she has used the beads, the empty container is just right for our blades. The beads come in a tube and while the tubes are a little shorter than the blades, they work well in the up right position in a simple wooden frame designed by my husband. Recylcing saves us more money for our hobby.

Woodcraft has triangular pen holders that come in a pack of (I think) 10. They work well. I picked up a small, yellow plastic tool box at Harbor Freight (really a craft holder of some sort, maybe screws and such) that has sliding trays. Each tray has 4 slots that are long enough for the pen triangles (or even the rectangular ones I've seen). It's a nice way to have the whole set of blades mobile, yet takes up just a little spot on my bench. It greatly organized my blades. I pull out the tray that I'm using for a certain project and the rest stay organized. I'll try to get a chance to take a picture.

I still just keep my blades in the plastic sleeve Mike ships 'em in, works good enough for me.

Just had a thought, has anyone ever tried drilling out a piece of wooden dowel
by using a drill bit a few sizes smaller than the dowel.

I oredered some from Sloans. They haven't arrived yet. Interestingly, the new saw had a dozen blade holders included. They are of a flimsy plastic. I don't know if they're all that way but it's difficult the take the cap off and put it back on without squishing the tube.

I have done this, but not for blade storage.Drilling a hole that deep into a dowel would be a little tricky to keep the hole going straight for that distance through the dowel. If you can find some photos by "Trout" of his construction toys he built, I believe the hydraulic cylinders for them are made by drilling out a dowel to fit another dowel inside.

I got some tubes from Sloans and wasn't very thrilled with them. There were no lids and the tubes were blackish in color and you couldn't see what was in them. Do yourself a favor and look at the miniture plastic bottle tubes addressed earlier in this thread.
