Default Looking for trivet patterns

Our current Scrolling club project is for us all to cut a trivet out of corian.
I have a couple of patterns that don't inspire me so I am looking to you guys to point me in some good directions as only this group can do.

Thanks in advance.

I am looking for something around 6-8 inches across.
Not too busy yet challenging. Now that clarifies it .

Fretwork? Geometric, organic, animal, vegetable or mineral? I'm asking so I can take a crack and designing one up

If you PM Sylvia, she has a TON of trivet patterns and they're all exquisite!!! Should be something in her long list of beautiful patterns that will truly inspire you.

I am curious to see what others might come up with too though ... got me thinking, just Sylvia is so dad burned good at them I don't want to be humiliated!! LOL

Rolf,

Here is one, patterned after a brass Chinese trivet which I got from my mother-in-law. Good practice for straight lines and smooth arcs. If you want the jpeg, just send a PM.

Thanks for all of the great ideas. I am sorry to be so vague but for once I really don't know what I have in mind. Sylvias ideas and designs are great.
I like the geometric idea from Bruce.
