Well hey, that can't be it or you'd both be eating my dust...or in this case, my wood chips! Callynne.....I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell....I know, right now you can't tell....hmmmm, need a few music notes to go with the lyrics....I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired.....OH YEAH, I should be cranking out hundreds of carvings a month!

Hey....I guess I'd better chime in on this conversation! I'm really not that crazy...but I its just that I don't mind sitting for 15 hrs. a day carving. I carved just over 60 pieces in July, and should have a little more than that in Aug. I just tend to be a person that is a little obssesive about what I do....I kinda go overboard somedays. Teri and I have only met once...but I think she got an idea what I'm like in the 3 days at Kirkland this summer. I'm always looking for away to do it quicker....but better at the same time. I love the challenge....but it has to look just as good or better....or I'm not really interested in it. Some people crack at the pressure of having to get out a certain amount of work in a given time period...but I love the challenge. I work much better if I know I have orders, but if the order sheet is empty I tend to slow down abit....and heavens.....we wouldn't want that to happen....right Teri?! Well, enough for that rant...I have to get back to my studio and get some polishing done....its only 9:22pm...still a few hours left to work tonight!!!!

Hi Dave....were your ears burning?? I can't wait till I can set and carve all day. It is so terrific to hear from someone who does and doesn't feel burnt out. Everyone keeps warning that's what's going to happen to me and you know what, I don't believe it one little bit!! And any way I can do it more quickly without affecting the quality is perfectly 'legit' with me!
Anyhow, if Teri's right and you two are 'insane', I can't wait to get there! Callynne

Just to let you guys know that I am checking over here once in a while I have enjoyed reading this thread. You guys are good role models for the carvers just starting out even I got pumped up. Dave sorry I havent emailed in a while but I herniated a disk and it still really bothers me and that was over a month ago. I am so far behind on commissions I may have to put them off to next year. I realize too that this is crunch time for you as well but I promise to stay in touch.
Colin
