Default It's a Santa-Fest!

For anyone who'll be in the area, you might be interested in the upcoming SantaFest in Kirkland, WA on July 9-11. There'll be more than a dozen santa carvers gathering together to carve, meet the public and just generally have a good time.

Come by for a look-see, or maybe even sit a spell and carve with us!

Teri

Teri,
I have been to Kirkland a few years ago and I was impressed with the wonderful talent of some of the carvers featured there. Unfortunatly I will be just returning from the west coast myself the week before otherwise I would come down. Maybe next year I will be able to stay on and visit after the BC competition. Good luck on the show I sure you will have a lot of fun.

Hey There Teri, Yeah, I can hardly wait to get there! I've gotten about 5 new designs done in the last week. There is nothing like an upcoming show to get the creative juices going. If any of you out there are around Kirkland on the dates of the show, please take the time to come by. Its great to see so many different carving styles of the same Subject matter all in one place like that. We all carve Santas, but there are so many different interpretations of him in all of out styles, right from a Classical European style, to a very Folk Art Style, to almost a caricature style, something for everyone! See ya there, Dave

I'm about 30 minutes from Art...or something like that...but an easily enjoyable trek. I'm about 5 minutes from Rick (Ferry), much to his chagrin :-)
