So that't why my caricatures end up being short, wide, and green eyed yet. Ron A.

Style is developed in the mind's eye. Our inner eye measures everything and also evaluates the correctness and quality of everything we see and do. The uniqueness of our carvings is illustrative of our own uniqueness. As we progress through the process of a carving we make decisions based upon our mind's eye. When it is completed we measure our success not against anyone else's work but against how close it comes to what we saw in our mind's eye. That is as it should be. Do not worry about developing a style! The style is within you just follow your mind's eye.

Thanks for the information guys, It just ok to be different in the carving world and thats a good thing. I have been messing around with the eyes on my Santa's, trying to make them different. I was curious to see how you folks did it.
