It's a good thing I got on this message board this morning! We might have to 'snatch a knot.' in our kids, Callayne and Hi Ho! Giving away Family secrets.. o.k. he's says he is going to carve in the living room and has bought a big plastic box, but time will tell...lol If we ever get this house sold and off the market, we can spend more time carving and painting.
Hopefully soon. Thanks Nancy for the wonderful pictures. Looking at them, makes us feel like we have been there and what a treat to see all the wonderful talent and also to put faces on the people that we have grown to love. The Gibbs

Fun pictures, Nancy - thanks for doing all that work. I'll get more added to yours as soon as I can. Well, I may be asking for some bribe money NOT to post some of the ones I have :-)

Ughhhh, tell Bill I thought we'd agreed, he was going to....burn, destroy, delete, SOMETHING, that picture. Oh...I see, the something was put it up for everyone to see! Tell him 'thanks a lot!' 8) Callynne

P.S. Seriously, thanks for sharing them. Sure was a great time, I'm so happy I got there this year and had the opportunity to meet everyone and see all the FANTASTIC Santas!!

OOPS - sorry, Callynne - I didn't know about the 'something' agreement with Bill!! I took that picture off :-X

(or maybe you were the only one who hadn't already posted ransom funds?)

I was just kidding around Teri, you don't have to take the picture off!! I thought it was hysterical, although the caption should have been....You need it WHEN?!!! So much for my 'not carving for anyone but myself or family in December!!' resolution! I have to get SO BUSY!!
Anyhow, don't worry, I wasn't serious about the picture. I joked with Bill when he showed it to me about destroying it but wasn't serious then either....at my age a bad picture is the least of my worries! And have you noticed, a picture you think is terrible at the time looks really good about five years later....when you've fallen apart even more! Ha! Ha! Callynne

Hey all I agree the Santa pics are great. I also would like to know more about Folkworks. If it is in Chicago I'm only 3 hour drive away and would like to attend in the future. If I could get some more info please. Also on the carving note how do you get the beards to look so full and curly. Do you use a spoon gouge or what. Everytime I make a Santa I use j ust a small gouge and his beard never looks as good as those do. have fun, carve oldbearx2
