I've finally finished my Carousel Santa. The 'reindeer' is a caribou from a Stiller pattern (WCI Fall 2004) slightly modified (I raised the head a bit.) The Santa is my own creation. I had a lot of fun with this. I particularly enjoyed making the antlers (5-ply cross-laminated 1/32' basswood veneer formed in an s-shaped mold and then scroll sawn.) The puppy is modelled after our dog. The painting was a lot of fun.

There are three views posted in the carver-r-us (holiday) site.

Hi-Ho,

The pole is 12' high. The base is 11' long

As Ehcoed here really fantastic carving you really have those Carousel carvings down pat. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
