Where is Cheap Wood?

bcarvings Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Posts: 122	Where is Cheap Wood? Hi, I'm new to carving and want to get cheap carving stock. In paticular I would like basswood, and white pine. Does anyone know where I can get them green? I want to get them as cheap as I can like from a sawmill that sells green basswood, and or white pine. I dont't care if they are in logs with all the bark on however I can get the wood cheapest. I live in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Please help, thank you
