Now 'there' are some reasons for tilting the saw:

One could drink and drive legally! Blow! why did I give up!
Keep all the sawdust where you want it! Deserves patenting.
Have a birds eye view from the ground! Sometimes I need that.
Cover the floor with some much too be adored designer cuts! What, more!
Make compensation for being vertically challenged! Have been looking for an answer to that all my life.
Ponder on a spaced out experience! Where??? What???
Save needing a shoulder neck massage! No way, haven't you tried the real thing?.
Make your cows more valuable! Now why don't i own a farm?

Any more??

Seriously though, maye I'll try it one day.

Personally, I don't tip cows. It's better not to encourage them. How much do you tip them anyway? 10%?

Chris

Now if you are going to tip them to make them more valuable you'd better up the anty more than 10%. Or would there be aother reason for tipping them?

Hmm...normally I give a tip for satisfactory service. So if someone's being a cow, why tip them?

Cow-tipping means you have run slap out of something to do ! ....been there done that

I bought the stand along with my DW788 . I primarily sit so I originally set mine up to tilt forward as well after reading some comments posted by this group when I first joined . It is a lot easier on my neck and shoulders and allows me to get on top of my work better. It is a deterrent though on those occasions when I have to stand ....I have to bend over just a bit too far and it doesn't take long to get uncomfortable

No wonder I had no idea what you folks meant by cow-tipping. Guess we have lots of different sayings.

Dale - Have chopped up some of that ply but have to sort out how I'm going to frame it. Same with the purpleheart. But have grandkids here for the next week so won't get any scrolling done during that time. Then we have our second Feilding Turning Collaboration event starting on the 17th. Not being a cook this time -just having fun!
