Default something different for me

one of our Church members had approached my wife several weeks back about doing some wood work on an old family tea chest of his mother inlaw, I figured whats to loose, I had my first look at it today and its covered in several layers of what appears to be torn rice paper with Japanese writing all over it (ouch) they would like if possible to have it recovered with a slightly darker wood, I got most of the lid sanded down to the wood used my belt sander to take paper off down to the wood and suprisingly its red oak 3/8x 1 for sides and 3/8x2 for the top and looks to be in good condition so I am going to recomend to them to just let me strip off all the paper sand it down and put a good natural poly on it and I thought maybe some Chinese Dragons for the sidea and lid would be awsome looking?
