Default Product to stick patterns

I've come across a double-stick tape that I now use for all my pattern-sticking. it's kind of a one-step method to get the advantages of laying down packing tape then spray-gluing. It's somewhat expensive, but to my mind it's indispensible.

The glue on the tape prevents burning, and doesn't pucker up like packing tape. The sticky part holds together so it's easy to get the remains of the pattern off the finished work. And no messy spray glue. The brand I found is called Spectape. Other brands are probably similar.

The stickum on this tape is grayish tan. The tape with the very thin clear stickum is a nightmare and I don't recommend that.

Steve,
Now that you've got us interested in your new find, where does one buy the stuff, and how expensive is somewhat expensive? How can we tell we're getting the right product?
Thanx,
Sandy

It's $24.99 for a 60-yard roll of 2"-wide tape at woodcraft.com. If you find it in a store, the name Spectape appears prominently and repeatedly inside the core.
