Hi, I was recently asked to vendor a table at a wedding fair at our local library.I did say okay, but at this point, I am having trouble at what to put out. There are only so many rendetions of hearts & doves. My center peice at this time would be a wedding/anniversary cross, which is very nice...but I am at a loss of what else to make...any ideas or suggestions would be helpful,or at least point me in the right direction...I don't want to end up with a lot of items that stay in stock...but that may be inevitable. . lonepine

In SSW issue number 14 there's a pattern for a Celtic claddagh that you could personalize with names and dates. Maybe that would work. |

I just finished two different 5 x 7, 150-piece jigsaw puzzles of couples for their 50th anniversaries. One was a recent picture and the other was their 1955 wedding photo. In both cases, I buried a "5" and a "0" among the puzzle pieces. I've done puzzles also from wedding invitations and flowery or lacey border puzzles into which a 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 invitation or photo can be inserted. Putting them together gives the couples something to do on their honeymoons. Just some ideas where you could display some samples in hopes of receiving special orders (which I think you would get). In some of the scroll saw books there are designs of anniversary and wedding plaques, frames, etc. It could be a starting place for coming up with some different ideas. As for jigsaw puzzles on your honeymoon, when I was on mine many years back I can't remember having the time to work on any jigsaw puzzles... hmmmm..... __________________ Chuck... |

You might want to try making candelabras. The large ones are nice for the head table and the smaller ones are great for all the other tables. I did quite well with them when I did shows. You may also want to try fret sawn bud vases. They can easily add flowers that coordinate with their theme for the tables or even one beside the guest book. Good Luck!

You could try coumpound cutting some swans, they could be used as center pieces or , with a slot cut in them as name place holders. Napkin rings with the wedding date, coasters, or picture frames.
