Need a "Classic" Pooh Pattern - Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts Message Board

I just became a grandfather and my son and his wife have decorated the granddaughter's room in "Classic Winnie the Pooh". This is not the Winnie the Pooh we are used to seeing from TV, coloring books, etc. but a more antique looking version from the original A.A. Milne books. Naturally, I'm having a rough time finding anything close to a pattern. Can anyone help steer me in the right direction?

I've looked for Pooh patterns before myself but haven't been successful yet

I know that Walt Disney protects the copyright of its cartoon version quite ferociously. There was also a dispute over the copyright ownership of the original drawings which is explained here. This could be why there do not seem to be any patterns available.

If you fancy using the original drawings to produce your own patterns, you might like to type Milne and Pooh into Google, then look at the images link

Thanks for the info. I've tried doing a Google image search and that just may be the only way to come up with a pattern, or scan an image. Not having ever created my own patterns, I've been trying to locate some that won't require me to learn another step in the process. With a "more than full time" job and all the normal household chores, my scrolling time is limited. But, if necessary, mowing the lawn and painting the windows, etc. may have to wait. Grandkids come first.

The easy way would be to get a coloring book for kids.

Thanks, Carl. There are plenty there to choose from. Now I just need to figure out how to convert them to a pattern to be used in a backlit night light that is from an old Woodsmith Magazine pattern. Any suggestions?

You might cut out a piece in the shape of the hunny pot and cut pooh into that
I have also seen some fretwork glued directly to the neon, plugin night lights.
If you are worried about heat, you could use a battery powered night light and an ac adapter.

As for converting the pictures. I would have to see which style you were looking at. There are some pretty intricate cuts on some of those.
