Default Does anyone have a spare delta 1343648 blade wrench?

I couldn't find a forum that might suit my question so hope this is OK.

I bought a secondhand Delta 40-560 but it did not have a 1343648 blade wrench. I live in the UK and cannot find a supplier there. I have trawled for spares fom a variety of sources in the USA but shipping to the UK is extorionate - the lowest cost has been about $50!! I cannot believe that a little piece of metal would be so expensive to post.

Does anyone have a spare one that they would be willing to sell or point me in the right direction of a store that doesn't charge the earth for shipping?

Thnaks in anticipation.

Bill.

Did you try

Repair Parts for All Major Brands - DIY Repair | eReplacementParts.com

Put in part number and it is 8.35 pounds for the part and 12.42 for shipping to UK

Not sure if that is too much.

Thanks Don, that's a lot cheaper than what I have seen but it still rankles to pay more for the shipping than the actual part, which could just fit into a padded envelope and be posted regular airmail at a fraction of the cost that the big stores charge.

Guess I'll just have to carry on without the blade wrench :-(

When I "mislaid" mine I managed with a 5mm bolt or drill bit and a 4mm allen key until it returned from the depths of the shed. Never did find out where it went or how it got back again, it was just there one day (though as the wife has said many times, it could have been there all the while)

Thanks loftyhermes, I'll give that a try - keep your shed locked!
