Default Making Time with Pallet Wood

Well, more production out of the way. Eventually I'll get back to cutting interesting stuff but I have bills to pay. All of these were made from recycled pallets. The train and carriage clocks are red alder, the executive mini-desk clocks are from mystery wood and the horse is from oak. All are mounted on oak bases.

They are very nice. I'm partial to the contrasting wood in # 2 & 3.

Nice collection of pallet clocks Kevin. I like the train and stagecoach the best. You can't beat recycled wood!

Nothing like free wood and a skilled craftsman to make it into something nice. Way to go!

Way to turn junk into treasure...!!! I like the stagecoach best too.
What kills me is that about 3 or 4 years ago, I had a job in a pallet rebuild shop. And I only grabbed a couple of boards. I remember looking at some of the wood, (and it came in all shapes and varieties), and thinking I wonder if I should grab this or that. DUGH!! I didn't. Some of it was pretty cool too. I'm pretty sure I had some blue pine in my hands, but I just thought it was beat up old crap. Now that shop is closed, and I know the owner would have let me go back today and pick through, but I guess that's just water under the bridge, (beautiful water, but I didn't know that then).

Anyway, You've definitely got it going on!! As JohnB would say, 'Good on ya"!!

Very nice Kevin. The re-cycled wood works out great and proves my saying that there is no such thing as scrap wood only wood waiting for a project. Thanks for sharing your work. saw dust
