Congrats! Well deserved. I do have one suggestion on your clock I will share. Your cutting on it looks perfect. The thing I would suggest on your next project like that is grain direction. When I build clocks, I put a lot of consideration in grain direction when laying out my pattern to make sure the grain aoo flows nicely.Like on that statesman, I would lay it out so the grain on the side fretwork pieces runs vertical, and on the main detail piece decorating the top, would run that grain vertically as well. To me it just seems to make them look nicer. Yours is pretty close to perfect though otherwise, and well deserving of the awards!!

here are the other two the clock is purple heart and curly all aspen plwood(weird wood I know) it won best of show in 16 and under arts and crafts. The leopard is out of curly maple and won the blue in other wood crafts. Thanks for all the nice comments, you guys are a real encouragement. I definately will pay more attention to grain direction next time luckyscoller(thanks alot for the advice!).
